Recommended Adult Immunizations

Most people received routine immunizations as children. Many people do not know that they continue to require routine immunizations as adults, or that they may require booster doses of childhood immunizations to maintain their immunity. In addition, some people require immunizations for special circumstances such as international travel, for departmental requirements or internships, or for individual health needs. The Student Health Center staff has the expertise to review immunization status and to make recommendations for individual patients.

Most immunizations are available on a same day basis. Routine preventive immunizations such as MMR, Hepatitis A, Influenza , Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus/Diptheria/Pertussis, and HPV are covered by health insurance according to the Affordable Care Act. Travel immunizations such as Yellow Fever, Typhoid, Polio and Meningitis are available through the travel clinic. Special immunizations such as Rabies or Japanese Encephalitis are generally available within 48 hours and are offered at a very competitive price.

Take the sting out of your vaccinations and come to the Student Health Center.
