After Hours Resource Guide

Student Health Center Extended Hours

Fall and Spring Semesters Only

Tuesday - 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
(Closed Tuesdays during or near breaks and holidays.)

If you belong to the Student Health Insurance plan through United HealthCare, your best care option is the Student Health Center. If this is a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.

NurseLine

If you need to speak to a nurse when the Student Health Center is closed, call 1-855-870-5858 for the 24 hour NurseLine. You need to be enrolled in the university's Student Health Insurance Plan through United HealthCare. You will also need the PIN number on the back of your insurance card for the call. To access your insurance card, go to www.uhcsr.com/utah.

Poison Control Center

Salt Lake City Area, call 1-800-222-1222. The Utah Poison Control Center (UPCC) is a 24-hour resource for poison information and educational resources. They serve the state of Utah with immediate phone support in a poisoning crisis. Have the following information available:

  • Exact name of the product
  • Amount taken
  • When the poisoning happened
  • The age and weight of the poisoned person
  • How the person is doing
  • Phone number where you can be reached

Providers that are not part of the University of Utah Health Care Network

The University of Utah Health Care network is the select (preferred) care network for UnitedHealthCare Student Resources. You should check with your insurance company in advance to confirm if the clinics listed below are part of their preferred network. Out-of-network services may cost more than services provided inside the University of Utah Health Care network.
