Travel Clinic
International travel is a wonderful learning experience. It may, however, involve risks that are very different from those that occur with travel within the US. The Student Health Center Travel Clinic helps prepare travelers to address the risks of travel, and to prepare them to have a wonderful healthy experience.
Travel health providers review health history and itinerary to evaluate the risks of individual travelers. Immunizations may be required or recommended and can be administered by clinic staff. Medications for conditions such as traveler’s diarrhea, altitude illness, malaria and more may be prescribed.
Additionally safety, food and water precautions, travel illness prevention and other preventive guidelines are reviewed to help prepare travelers to have a safe, fun, and healthy travel experience.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure at the University of Utah Student Health Center Travel Clinic!
